1. Overview
GlowLog is a subscription-based AI skincare tracking platform. Access to GlowLog's AI-powered features requires an active subscription plan. AI features within GlowLog operate on a credit-based system, where each AI analysis, scan, or generation consumes a specific number of credits from your monthly allowance.
Subscription billing for web users is processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. GlowLog does not store your payment card details directly.
2. Subscription Plans & Billing
- GlowLog offers tiered subscription plans: Glow, Pro, and Elite.
- Each plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance that refreshes at the start of each billing cycle.
- Plans are available in monthly and annual billing intervals. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment for 12 months of access.
- A $1.99 seven-day starter pass is available for new users to explore GlowLog features.
- Pricing and credit allowances for each tier are displayed on the Pricing page.
3. AI Credits & Usage
Credit Deduction Rules
- Credits are deducted only after a successful AI analysis is completed and results are returned to you.
- Failed AI requests (server errors, timeouts, model failures) do not deduct credits.
- Failed OCR / ingredient scans that do not produce a result do not deduct credits.
- Cached or previously computed results that are served from cache do not charge credits again.
- If you cancel an analysis in progress before results are delivered, credits are not deducted.
Credit Refresh & Expiry
- Monthly credits are refreshed to your plan's full allowance at the start of each billing cycle.
- Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
- Additional credit packs can be purchased separately and do not expire as long as your subscription remains active.
Credit Costs by Feature
Different AI features consume different credit amounts. Common costs include: Skin Analysis (1 credit), Ingredient Check (1 credit), Product Compatibility (3 credits), Pattern Detection (3 credits), and Video Summary (8 credits). Full credit costs are listed on the Pricing page.
4. Subscription Renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- For monthly plans, you will be charged on the same date each month.
- For annual plans, you will be charged once per year on your subscription anniversary date.
- You will receive an email reminder from Stripe before renewal.
5. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Manage Subscription button in your Account Settings, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your plan until that date.
- After cancellation takes effect, your account reverts to the free tier with limited access.
- GlowLog does not require you to contact support, send an email, or complete any additional steps to cancel. The cancellation button is always accessible from your account settings.
6. Access After Cancellation
- After cancellation, you retain access to your subscription features until the end of your current paid billing period.
- Your skin log history, data, and account remain intact. You do not lose your data by cancelling.
- Remaining monthly credits at the time of cancellation remain usable until the period ends, then expire.
- Purchased credit packs remain available even after subscription cancellation, though certain features may require an active subscription to use them.
- You may resubscribe at any time to restore full access.
7. Plan Upgrades & Downgrades
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You retain your current plan's features until then.
- Plan changes can be managed through the Stripe Customer Portal via Manage Subscription in your Account Settings.
8. Refund Policy
- Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun.
- If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using GlowLog's AI features for an extended period, you may contact us to request a review.
- Credit pack purchases are non-refundable once purchased.
- The $1.99 trial fee is non-refundable.
- Refund requests should be directed to the GlowLog support team. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Note: Specific refund terms are subject to founder/legal review and may be updated before launch.
9. Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge according to its standard retry schedule.
- You will be notified by email if a payment fails.
- If payment cannot be collected after retries, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.
- You can update your payment method at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal.
10. Payment Providers
GlowLog currently processes all web subscription payments through Stripe. Billing management, invoice viewing, payment method updates, and cancellation are all handled through the Stripe Customer Portal.
In the future, GlowLog may support additional payment providers such as Apple App Store and Google Play for mobile subscriptions. Subscription management for those platforms will follow each platform's respective billing and cancellation policies.
11. Billing Management
You can access your full billing management dashboard at any time by navigating to Account Settings → Billing & Subscription and clicking Manage Subscription. Through the Stripe Customer Portal, you can:
- View and update your payment method
- View your current subscription and plan details
- View and download past invoices
- Switch plans (upgrade or downgrade)
- Cancel your subscription
